Marina DuBois Co-founder and Co-Creator

   Cayeanna was born out of an entrepreneurial spirit Mariel Enochs (Co-founder) and I both share; our love for the ocean and our desire to create comfortable, elegant, flattering swimwear made from luxury, recycled material. 

After working in various industries, at 40, I rediscovered my passion for swimwear; but finding affordable swimwear that allowed (bigger busted) women to show off their bodies, feel confident, and comfortable proved difficult.

I am more confident and surer of myself than I have ever been, and I knew I had something different to offer. I knew that there was a market out there for women like me and I felt a renewed sense of passion for work and life. My job was fulfilling but my enthusiasm was slowly eroding, and I wasn’t content just coasting through the second part of my life. I knew my girlfriend, Mariel, had an eye for design and shared my passion for swimwear. We saw an opportunity and we acted upon it.

Cayeanna was established as a result of the entrepreneurial drive shared by Mariel Enochs (Co-founder) and myself, and aspiration to produce luxurious swimwear that is comfortable, sophisticated, and enhances the wearer's figure. Despite working in different fields, I rediscovered my passion for swimwear at the age of 40, but encountered challenges in finding reasonably priced swimwear that allowed curvier women to feel confident, comfortable, and display their bodies. (challenging to find affordable swimwear that could flatter and provide comfort to women with larger busts, while boosting their confidence.)

I have reached a new level of self-assurance and confidence, ((I became aware that I had something distinctive to offer.realizing that I possess a unique offering.)) I strongly believed that a market exists for women like myself, ((and I felt reinvigorated with a renewed passion for both my work and personal life)). 

Although my job was fulfilling, my enthusiasm had been gradually declining, and I refused to settle for just coasting through the latter part of my life. Recognizing that my girlfriend Mariel shared my affinity for swimwear and possessed a sharp eye for design, we identified an opportunity and acted on it.

  I began my design career in college. An avid swimmer and frustrated by the lack of flattering performance gear, I enlisted my mother to help me bring my design ideas to fruition. 

I’ve always had an eye for design, so I decided to put my mother’s expert knitting abilities to use. I wanted something that could withstand hours of intense swim workouts and still look great, so we collaborated on a knitted bikini.

Although I eventually pursued a career in PR and Event Planning, I never stopped thinking about swimwear fashion and design and I continued to take fashion design and construction courses at a nearby college.

In 2017 my girlfriend, Marina, shared her dissatisfaction at finding swimwear. Our conversations and ideas reignited my desire to pursue my passion and help her create the perfect swimsuit.

My journey in design began during my college days. Being an ardent swimmer, I was disappointed by the lack of swimwear options that were both flattering and practical. This prompted me to team up with my mother to bring my designs to life. With my natural flair for design and my fondness for bikinis, we collaborated on a knitted bikini that could withstand rigorous swim workouts.

Despite later venturing into PR and Event Planning, my passion for swimwear design never waned. I continued to enhance my skills by enrolling in fashion design and construction courses at a nearby college.

In 2017 my girlfriend, Marina, shared her frustration at the scarcity of comfortable, beautiful and chic swimwear options. This reignited my desire to pursue my passion for swimwear design and create the perfect swimsuit with her.
